Community activists are standing by one of their own after Al Flowers says he was assaulted by police at his home in south Minneapolis. Flowers was arrested Saturday after police say he didn’t cooperate with them as they issued a search warrant for the arrest of his 16-year-old daughter.

St. Cloud Police: Woman Injures Man In Hit & Run, Attacks Security Guard

A 31-year-old woman was arrested Friday for a hit and run in St. Cloud that injured one man, and later attacked a hospital security guard while in custody. According to St. Cloud Police, Danielle Ilene Bennett is accused of a hit and run early Friday morning on the 1000 block of 7th Street Southeast.

Police: 14-Year-Old Beaten With A Lock, Tased By Group Of Teen Girls

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted in Folwell Park in Minneapolis by a group of teenagers around 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 2. According to Minneapolis Parks and Recreation, the teen, who is a Teen Teamworks employee, was surrounded by a group of approximately 15 teenage girls. The main aggressor then allegedly began hitting the victim with a lock.

St. Paul Dad Arrested, Charged After Abandoning Kids In Crash

A St. Paul man faces several criminal charges after he allegedly abandoned his seriously injured children after crashing his SUV in St. Paul early Tuesday morning. Earl Lionell Ward, 45, is charged with four counts of criminal vehicular operation, two counts of endangerment of a child and two counts of violating a domestic abuse no contact order.

Victim’s Family Angry At Road Rage Sentencing

The man who shot a motorcyclist after a road rage incident was sentenced Wednesday. But the victim’s family thinks the punishment should be more severe. A jury found 73-year-old Joseph Kadlec guilty of assault and reckless use of a firearm after shooting 31-year-old Kyle Ronning in the face during a road rage incident two years ago.

A former Minnesota State, Mankato football player severely injured in a fight is being transferred from a Mankato hospital to an inpatient rehabilitation program in the Twin Cities. The family of Isaac Kolstad said Tuesday he continues to make progress in his recovery.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder Of Foster Son

A Benedict, Minn. man has been charged with the attempted murder of his foster son on Tuesday, according to the Hubbard County Attorney’s Office. Dennis James Sullivan was charged Thursday with second-degree attempted murder, and also face first- and third-degree assault charges.

Police: Man Assaulted In Home By Unknown Male

One person is in custody after a man reported being assaulted in his home by an unknown male. Corey William Becker, 21, of Grand Rapids, is being held at Stearns County Jail in connection with the incident. According to the St. Cloud Police Department, authorities responded to a report of a burglary in the 1000 block of 36th Avenue North in St. Cloud, Minn.

Isaac Kolstad Recovers From Blood Clot, Prepares For Another Brain Surgery

Former Minnesota State University – Mankato football player, Issac Kolstad, has shown signs of improvement after he was treated for a blood clot last week. Kolsatd has been in a coma since he sustained head injury during an assault in downtown Mankato, Minn. roughly a month ago. Kolstad was treated for a deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot that can occur when someone is bedridden and blood does not flow properly.

MSU-Mankato To Host Fundraising Benefit For Isaac Kolstad

Minnesota State University – Mankato will host a fundraising benefit for former football player Isaac Kolstad. Kolstad suffered severe head trauma earlier this month after allegedly being punched, hitting his head on pavement and then being kicked in the head. The incident took place in downtown Mankato shortly after the bars closed.
