Gang Member Charged With Murders Of Innocent Bystanders In Mpls. Shooting

A Bloomington man faces eight criminal charges in connection to the gang-related shooting deaths of two men in a Minneapolis park in July. The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office says 23-year-old Antonio Frasion Jenkins Jr., who goes by the nickname “Popeye,” fatally shot 24-year-old Abdirahman Jined and 20-year-old Jorge Zavaleta-Martinez in the Peace Garden section of Peavey Park on the night of July 25.

Man Found Guilty Of Shooting 3 Women 26 Times At Birthday Party

A 21-year-old Minneapolis man was found guilty Tuesday of shooting three women at a birthday party last July, according to the Hennepin County Attorney’s office. Delonte Ahshone Thomas is guilty of one count of attempted first-degree murder and three counts of attempted second-degree murder for a shooting on July 9, 2014, in north Minneapolis.

St. Paul Man Sentenced For Drive-By Shooting Of Romantic Rival

A St. Paul man was sentenced Thursday to 19 years in prison for trying to kill a romantic rival in a drive-by-shooting last summer. The Dakota Attorney’s office says 36-year-old Jorge Roman Vasquez was convicted of one count each of first-degree attempted murder, second-degree attempted murder via drive-by-shooting, second-degree assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

River Falls Man Accused Of Trying To Kill Girlfriend

A River Falls man is accused of trying to kill his girlfriend by strangling, punching and biting her. Twenty-three-year-old Benjamin Force is being held on $100,000 bail in St. Croix County. He’s charged with six felonies, including attempted first-degree intentional homicide and mayhem.

Police: Man Who Fled Hennepin County Courtroom Is In Custody

An escaped inmate is back in the Hennepin County Jail Friday. On Thursday, Michael Henderson ran from the court room as a jury handed down a guilty verdict for attempted murder following a robbery at a Sam’s Club in Bloomington earlier this year. He was on the run for 16 hours after escaping the Hennepin County Government Center in downtown Minneapolis.

A 40-year-old Eckles Township, Minn. man is in jail accused of shooting a 17-year-old girl multiple times at her home Monday evening, according to the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office.
