Fred Eckhardt of Boyd, Minn. is on a quest to get a card from every town in Minnesota and South Dakota- that means stops at garage sales during his cross-country trips. It was during one of those stops at an Illinois farm nearly 30 years ago, that he found something unusual.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is holding a land auction on Oct. 9. The DNR says plans to offer 30 parcels, all located in northern Minnesota. The parcels range in size from a half acre to 102 acres and offer opportunities for hunting and recreation, as well as cabin and residential development along prime lakeshore.
