According to research by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, over a 10-year period there were 83 deaths at day care facilities across the state. Five percent of those were from choking. So, it is important to ensure that all homes containing young children are as safe as possible.

Meet One Of The First Babies Of 2015!

While we welcomed the New Year, a Minneapolis woman was delivering her first child. Little Kaleah Williams was born at 12:17 a.m. Thursday at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville. Her mom, Kathryn, went into labor around 7 p.m. Wednesday night.

Plane Diverts As Traveler Appears To Go Into Labor

Officials say a pregnant passenger believed to have gone into labor aboard a plane has given birth at a Salt Lake City hospital after her flight was diverted to Utah. Salt Lake City International Airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann said it appeared the woman went into labor Wednesday on the airplane heading from San Francisco to Minneapolis.

Woman Talks Of Losing Baby To Preeclampsia,

Preeclampsia a very important medical condition that can affect pregnant women. Jaime Nolan, a Twin Cities woman, had a severe case of it. She had to have an emergency C-section to deliver her baby girl at 26 weeks gestation. Her daughter, Grace, weighed only 1 pound, 1 ounces at birth. Grace lived for just eight days.

Baby Boy Only Suffers Bruise After Car Collides With Northstar Train

A baby boy is safe at home Tuesday after surviving a run-in with a train. Anja Bochenski’s 15-month-old son, Henry, was in the back seat when a northbound Northstar train crossing Proctor Avenue and Highway 10 in Elk River struck the car’s passenger side around 7 a.m. Monday.
