Authorities Investigate Rural Pope County Shooting Death

The Pope County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating after a man was found dead from a gunshot wound in Gilchrist Township. At 11:24 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to a 911 call about a person who had been shot inside a rural Pope County residence.

Officials ID Woman Found Dead in Wadena County

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner identified the body of a woman who was found dead in a home in Menahga, Minn. Saturday morning. Officials identified the victim as 32-year-old Kelly Marie Lund, of Detroit Lakes, Minn. According to police, Lund’s body was found shortly before 9 a.m. in a home on the 300 block of Third Street NW.
