Officials say a new 24-hour record for bike sharing was set in the Twin Cities on Saturday with more than 5,600 Nice Ride bikes being used. In the process, The Minneapolis Foundation also raised money to provide bikes to kids in need.
Get ready to see more green. Nice Ride Minnesota is expanding with 24 more stations in the Twin Cities. The bike share system announced its expansion efforts on Tuesday, which brings the total up to 170 stations and 1,550 bright green bikes.
Those neon-green Nice Ride Minnesota bicycles are about to hit the streets again in Minneapolis and St. Paul. The program expects to distribute bikes and run some tests next Monday. The system will open for its third season soon after that.
