Bloomington Tree Display To Benefit K-9 Cops

In the season where hundreds of homes are decorated with holiday displays, there’s one residence in Bloomington that always draws a crowd. An oak tree in Bob Little’s yard shines bright every year, attracting spectators from all over. In the light of day, an old oak tree may not inspire the holiday spirit. “There isn’t Santa Clauses moving, and things spinning, and red this and green that,” Little said.

School Locked Down After Man Fires Shotgun Nearby

A south metro school went into lockdown briefly Wednesday morning, police say, after someone walked into the nearby woods and fired a shotgun into the ground. The Bloomington Police Department said an adult male who lives in the area of the school had taken his grandfather’s shotgun and fired it behind Life Academy, on 2201 West 108th Street.
