The body of a 49-year-old woman was recovered from the Mississippi River in Wabasha, Minn. On Thursday morning, officers were summoned to the river just south of the Eagle Center on Lawrence Boulevard after being alerted that someone may have gone off the ice and into the river.
Authorities are trying to determine the identity of a man whose body was recovered from the Apple River early Sunday afternoon, according to the St. Louuis County Sheriff’s Office.
One person is missing after a towboat went over the rollers of the Dresbach dam in eastern Minnesota. La Crescent firefighter Cassie Buehler says three people were involved altogether but she doesn’t know the condition of the other two people.
Crews say they have pulled a body from the Mississippi River near the Ford Dam south of the Minneapolis and St. Paul downtown areas. They responded to the scene at about 9:30 a.m. Friday. Crews said it appears the body had been in the river for some time.
The body of a man who has been missing in Lake Minnetonka since Saturday has been recovered.
