Study: Red Meat Raises Diabetes Risk
New research shows that if you have a lot of red meat in your diet it could increase your risk of type-2 diabetes. A study published in the JAMA Internal Medicine says researchers followed more than 100,000 people for four years. People who ate half a serving less of red meat a day reduced their risk of diabetes by 14 percent. But those who added a half serving increased their diabetes risk nearly 50 percent.
