Hundreds of former workers from the shuttered Ford Plant in St. Paul got a chance to walk down memory lane Saturday. Memorabilia from the factory was on display, including old employee badges, pictures and even glass formerly made inside the plant. The event, which also featured a car show, was organized by a group of local historians who want a section of the closed factory to be turned into a museum.
If you’ve driven down University Avenue recently, you know what a mess it is. Sections of it are currently torn up as crews dig up the pavement to make way for the expansion of the light rail line into St. Paul.
