2 Hospitalized After Brooklyn Park PD Squad Crash

A Brooklyn Park police officer and an Osseo woman were hospitalized Monday morning after a two-car crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The accident, involving a Ford Explorer squad car and a Chevy Aveo, happened at the intersection of Zane Avenue North and 90th Avenue in Brooklyn Park.

Teen Struck By Suspected Drunken Driver Dies

A 16-year-old boy died after his vehicle was rear-ended by a suspected drunken driver last week. According to the State Patrol, the driver has not been charged, but authorities said he had also been involved in an earlier crash that day along Highway 252 in Brooklyn Park and had fled the scene.

Police arrested four people Thursday after a shooting in Brooklyn Park in which no one was struck. The shooting happened on the 7500 block of Noble Ave after 3 p.m., and it involved two cars, Brooklyn Park police said.

Brooklyn Park Police have arrested a woman for arson after initially responding to a reported stabbing. Police were called to the 6300 block of 84th Court North by a man who said a woman in the home had stabbed him.

Minnesota Man Convicted Of Arms Smuggling

A federal jury has convicted a Minnesota man of smuggling arms to Nigeria and lying on firearms purchase records. Fifty-one-year-old Sheriff Olaleran Mohammed was convicted of one count of smuggling goods from the U.S. and 17 counts of providing false statements while purchasing a firearm.

Crews Battle 3-Alarm Fire At Brooklyn Park Apartments

Fire crews battled a three-alarm fire at an apartment complex on the 5500 block of Brookdale Drive early Friday morning. The fire started on the second floor of the Moonraker Apartments complex and spread upstairs to the third.
