Calif. Police Arrest Suspect In Twin Cities Kidnapping

The suspect in a kidnapping case was arrested in downtown Los Angeles Thursday, April 17 after attempting to evade police officers. Jesus Ramirez, 31, is charged with four counts of kidnapping and one count of aggravated robbery in the first degree.

Former Viking Darren Sharper Charged With Rape In California

Former NFL safety Darren Sharper has been charged in Los Angeles with drugging and raping two women, prosecutors said Friday. Sharper was expected to be arraigned on two counts of rape by use of drugs, four counts of furnishing a controlled substance, and one count of possession of a controlled substance, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
