A man and a woman were rescued from the Mississippi River after their boat overturned Friday afternoon, according to the Minneapolis Fire Department. Crews were dispatched the area of the Camden Boat Launch in north Minneapolis just after 1:30 p.m. after a report of two people struggling in the water. Firefighters in water-rescue suits jumped in the river and were able to throw the couple a rope to pull them to shore.
One person is dead after a boating accident early Saturday morning in Elysian, Minn. According to Waseca County Sheriff’s deputies, five teenagers were duck hunting on Lake Elysian when the boat they were on capsized around 6 a.m. Saturday morning. The boat was approximately 200 yards from shore.
Four duck hunters needed rescue after capsizing 200 yards from shore on Three Island Lake in Pope Hope Township Monday evening, according to the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office.
