A northern Minnesota man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in the death of his wife who was crushed by a totem pole. Carl Muggli faced a possible life sentence if he had been convicted of first-degree murder.
Trial In Totem Pole Death Moved To Beltrami Co.
The trial for a man accused of using a totem pole to kill his wife will be moved out of Koochiching County. State District Court Judge Charles LeDuc has ordered the trial be held in Beltrami County, about 115 miles away, because of pretrial publicity.
