One man is dead after a rollover crash in Carver County Sunday night.
Forty-year-old Bradley Scott Schauer, of Young America Township, died after sustaining serious injuries in a rollover crash.
The Carver County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of scams involving prepaid cards. Sheriff Jim Olson says scammers are tricking people into using Green Dot MoneyPak cards to pay shipping fees for phony rewards; to pay off nonexistent fines; to pay past-due utility bills with the threat of service disruption; to pay for computer virus removal and to seek money to pay a relative’s bail.
A 19-year-old woman from St. Anthony died Friday from injuries suffered in a crash in Scott County, authorities said. Authorities were called at about 4:02 p.m. Friday to a crash in the area of West 150th Street at Baseline Avenue in Louisville Township.
A 51-year-old man is in custody Thursday for allegedly shooting at another male Sunday evening. According to the Carver County Sheriff’s Office, police responded to a call of a gunshot at 8:47 p.m. Sunday at a residence in the 300 block of Park Street E. in New Germany, Minn.
The Carver County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the burglary of a Waconia Verizon Wireless store, where thieves entered through ceiling tiles and cut a hole through drywall. Authorities responded to reports of a burglary at the store, located at 716 Vista Blvd., as well as Bella Nails and Spa next door.
An 81-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday in Carver County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities responded to the crash at about 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 284 and County Road 153 in Benton Township.
Authorities in the south metro are looking for two men who allegedly robbed a Chanhassen hotel last week at gunpoint. The robbery happened in the early morning hours of July 3 at the Chanhassen Inn, located on the 500 block of West 79th Street, the Carver County Sheriff’s Office said.
A 4-year-old boy is in critical condition after falling through a second story window in Waconia early Sunday afternoon. The Carver County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the incident at 12:19 p.m. on the 1300 block of Creekside Circle.
Rescue crews recovered the body of a teenager from a Carver County lake late Friday evening. The sheriff’s office received a report at about 7:30 p.m. that a teen swimming in Eagle Lake near Baylor Regional Park went underwater and never resurfaced.
The Carver County Sheriff’s office has identified the man and woman who were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Waconia Township Tuesday morning. Authorities believe Kenneth Gongoll shot his wife, Beverly Gongoll, before shooting himself.
A 37-year-old man had to be rescued from Lake Minnetonka on Saturday after his snowmobile went through the ice, according to the Carver County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities received several 911 calls just before 9 p.m. that a snowmobile and its rider had fallen through the ice at the southern end of Smithtown Bay on Lake Minnetonka.
A 37-year-old Eden Prairie woman is in Carver County jail pending charges of felony promotion of prostitution after officers raided a Chanhassen massage parlor last Wednesday. According to Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson, deputies served a search warrant at a message business on the 7900 block of Stone Creek Drive in Chanhassen on the afternoon of Oct. 29. Deputies had originally targeted to the business after allegations that employees were offering sexual services for a “$40-$50 tip.”
Authorities said Friday they’re looking for a female suspect after a bank was robbed west of the Twin Cities on Thursday. The robbery happened at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Klein Bank on the 200 block of Paul Avenue in Cologne.
Authorities said a swimmer has been reported missing after an adult male tried to get across Hook Lake Wednesday morning. The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office was called to the lake, which is about three miles north of Hutchinson, at about 11:33 a.m.
