Patrol: ND Driver In Fatal Crash Was On Facebook

Traill County authorities say a 20-year-old North Dakota woman killed an elderly Minnesota woman after she rear-end an SUV at 85 mph while browsing Facebook on her cellphone. Abby Sletten of Hatton was charged in court this week with negligent homicide in the death of 89-year-old Phyllis Gordon of Ada, Minnesota, in May.

Apple Valley Woman Charged In Fatal Crash Caused By Cell Phone

A 29-year-old woman will face criminal charges for a fatal crash in Apple Valley last April which killed a 66-year-old man. According to the Dakota County Attorney’s office, Amanda Leanna Schlachter of Apple Valley was charged Wednesday with one count of criminal vehicular homicide and three counts of criminal vehicular operation resulting in substantial bodily harm in connection with a crash on April 6, 2013.

Man Pleads Guilty In Unusual Child Porn Case

A man has pleaded guilty to charges in a Fargo-Moorhead child pornography case that was sparked by a lost cell phone. Thirty-two-year-old Dustin Muscha, of Moorhead, Minn., pleaded guilty in federal court in Fargo, N.D., to two charges of sexual exploitation of minors and two charges of possessing materials involving the sexual exploitation of minors.
