Authorities say a 19-year-old man was arrested in Arizona Sunday after he allegedly assaulted a Chanhassen teen with a baseball bat at a church. The Carver County Sheriff’s Office received a report that the assault took place at about 4:50 a.m. at the Westwood Community Church in Chanhassen.

The Carver County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a vehicle careened into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle, killing its driver Thursday afternoon. The sheriff’s office says a vehicle was heading eastbound on Flying Cloud Drive in Chanhassen when it hit a guard rail, which caused it to careen into oncoming traffic and strike the other vehicle head-on.
