Authorities in the west Twin Cities metro are investigating a suspicious package that was reportedly left in a mobile home park. The Chaska Police Department responded to the Brandondale mobile home park Tuesday afternoon on a report of a suspicious item.
Chaska Police are looking for a driver who fled the scene after a bicyclist was hit by a car Wednesday night. Police were called at about 9:45 p.m. to the area of Highway 41 and Fourth Street, in downtown Chaska, where a bicyclist told police they were hit by a silver or gray passenger car occupied by two men.
The family of a woman shot and killed by police on Highway 212 last year is suing Chaska Police. The lawsuit says that Dawn Pfister was a hostage and was needlessly shot and killed by Chaska Police. Pfister was in a car driven by her boyfriend, Mathew Serbus, last February. Their car rear ended another vehicle, and they fled the scene. Police began a high-speed chase.
