Lutheran Church Employee Pleads Guilty To Stealing $300,000

A 51-year-old Brooklyn Park woman pleaded guilty Thursday to embezzling more than $300,000 from a church, according to Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman. Raenay Hendrickson pleaded guilty to five counts of theft by swindle over $5,000 for defrauding the Minneapolis Area Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

Maple Grove Man Charged For Vandalizing Pro Gay Marriage Church

A 45-year-old Maple Grove man has been charged with vandalizing a Maple Grove church, writing anti-gay marriage slogans and bible verses on the building. Lonny Lloyd Roseland, who’s wheelchair-bound, was charged with third-degree damage to property and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanor offenses.

Cambridge Pastor Sentenced For Sexual Assault

A 55-year-old pastor from Cambridge, Minn., was sentenced Wednesday to 160 days in jail and 10 years of probation for sexually assaulting a mentee. Ryan Jay Muehlhauser had pleaded guilty in February to two felony counts of criminal sexual conduct.

Police Search For Hastings Church Vandals

Hastings Police are asking for help catching a vandal who spray painted possibly satanic graffiti on the side of a church. Five-pointed stars inside circles and an upside down cross have now been washed off of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church’s brick walls and windows, but remnants of the graffiti remain. Hastings Police Chief Paul Schnell says the nature of this vandalism is a concern to his department.
