Police: 2 Men Lured By Women To Brutal Attack

wo 21-year-old men are in critical condition after allegedly being lured by two women to a location in Fridley, Minn., where two men were waiting to attack them. According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, Fridley Police received a report of two injured men in the area of 77th Avenue and Main Street at about 4:25 a.m.

Northfield Man Killed In Window Fall ID’d

Authorities have identified a Northfield man who died last Friday after falling from a third-floor window in Columbia Heights. Police were called to the 900 block of 46 ½ Ave. NE at about 3 a.m. on July 25 on a report that a man had fallen out of a third floor window.

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car in Columbia Heights early Thursday morning. Authorities were called to the accident just before 2 a.m. near the area of University Avenue and 44th Street. When police arrived, it appeared a vehicle was heading northbound on University Avenue when a pedestrian was crossing at 44th Street and was hit by the vehicle.

Xcel Energy: Faulty Breaker Caused Large Power Outage In North Metro

Officials with Xcel Energy said power was knocked out more than 12,000 customers in the north Twin Cities metro late Thursday morning and crews are working to restore it. Tom Hoen with Xcel Energy said the outages happened shortly before noon Thursday in the communities of Fridley, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids and Mounds View.
