Prosecutors Fight Dismissal Of LaDue Attempted Murder Charges

Just two days after a judge dismissed the attempted murder charges against the Waseca teen accused of plotting to bomb his school, 17-year-old John LaDue made a court appearance Wednesday morning. Transported from a juvenile detention facility in Red Wing, LaDue was back in a Waseca courtroom to learn if he would be tried as an adult.

In Wake Of Conn. Shooting, Minn. Schools To Hold Safety Referendum

Most Minnesota schools will welcome students back on Tuesday, and keeping kids safe while they’re there is a top priority. After a gunman stormed an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., and killed 26 people, some Minnesota schools made changes. This fall, at least five school districts in our state will vote on safety referendums.
