A 24-year-old Brainerd woman was sentenced Tuesday to more than four years in prison in connection with an incident where she hit and killed a bicyclist while under the influence, according to the Cass County Attorney.
An alleged drunk driver who struck and killed a bicyclist Monday night was charged Friday with criminal vehicular homicide. According to the Hennepin County Attorney’s office, John Iverson, 49, faces up to 10 years in prison after killing 26-year-old Marcus Nalls with his van. Witnesses say Iverson sped west down Franklin Avenue Monday night when he suddenly swerved towards the curb, hit Nalls off of his bike and then ran him over. According to the criminal complaint, Iverson continued driving down the block until his van stopped after hitting a dumpster.
A 22-year-old man is charged with more than 20 counts of both criminal vehicular homicide and criminal vehicular operation in a rollover crash that killed one person last November.
A 27-year-old Hampton Township man has pleaded guilty in connection to a deadly crash that killed a 27-year-old Canon Falls man, according to the Dakota County Attorney’s Office.
An Eden Prairie man was arrested Friday and charged with three counts of criminal vehicular homicide in connection with a fatal crash in August. According to the Hennepin County Attorney’s office, 46-year-old Randoll Guy Sloan was arrested on a criminal warrant for driving while under the influence of alcohol, having a blood-alcohol concentration greater than .08 and for driving in a “grossly negligent manner.” The complaint says on Aug. 1, Sloan was driving a Chevrolet Corvette with passenger Kyle Boline on Eden Prairie Road. At around 7:45 p.m., the Corvette didn’t take a curve and ended up striking a power pole. The car flipped, and both passengers were ejected. Boline died to hours later at Hennepin County medical Center. Sloan was treated for a broken leg and “significant cuts to the head,” according to the criminal complaint.
A 21-year-old man has been charged with striking and killing a pedestrian in Rogers in May, according to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office.

According to the Ramsey County Attorney’s office, 27-year-old Autumn Brenae Mason stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Ivy Avenue and Prosperity Avenue at 7:45 a.m. Roy W. Kromschroeder, 92, was also at a stopped at the intersection, which is controlled by stop signs in all directions.
An 18-year-old man from Burnsville pleaded guilty in juvenile court Tuesday for his role in a crash on Buck Hill that killed two teenagers and injured two other teens. The driver – a 17-year-old juvenile at the time of the June 2012 crash – pleaded guilty to two felony counts of Criminal Vehicular Homicide, one felony count of Criminal Vehicular Operation, and one count of gross misdemeanor count of Criminal Vehicular Operation.
A man is in jail on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide and DUI after a crash in Pine County on Saturday that killed a Maplewood man, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash at about 2:45 p.m. Saturday on Highway 70 at Government Road in Pine County.
