The Grand Rapids Police Department has identified the 5-year-old boy who drowned after going under the water in Crystal Lake Saturday.
A 5-year-old boy drowned Saturday afternoon after trying to climb on top of a swimming raft on a Grand Rapids lake, according to police. Authorities responded to a report of a possible drowning at Crystal Lake at 1:30 p.m. Upon arrival, first responders pulled the boy from the water. He was taken to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital where he later died.
A Rothsay man is recovering after falling through the ice and getting stranded in the fog on a lake in northwestern Minnesota.
A woman who was found dead in Crystal Lake has been identified.
