Charges: South St. Paul Man Threatened Officers On Twitter

A 20-year-old South St. Paul man is accused of threatening to kill police and at least one officer with the Minnesota State Patrol on social media, according to charges filed Thursday in Dakota County Court. Harrison William Rund was charged with felony terroristic threats in connection with the incident, which happened on Tuesday after receiving a speeding ticket.

Woman Accused Of Threatening Hospital Rampage

A 34-year-old Hastings woman is accused of threatening to shoot up a Burnsville hospital, leading to a lockdown late last week, according to charges filed Monday in Dakota County Court. Katrina Evelyn Schanus was charged with one count of terroristic threats in connection with the Jan. 30 incident.

Charges: Man Abused Child, 2, Over Toileting Accident

A 23-year-old man is accused of abusing a 2-year-old child with scorching hot water in a bath tub after a toilet training accident last week in West St. Paul, according to charges filed Monday in Dakota County Court. Hardel Harrison Sherrell was charged two counts of malicious punishment of a child in connection with the Jan. 24 incident.

Man Pleads Guilty To Taking 2 Hostage In Gas Station

Ariel Luis Barnett pleaded guilty Friday in Dakota County Court to two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of kidnapping to commit great bodily harm and one count of a firearm violation for a convicted felon.

Man Gets 2 Life Sentences For Murdering Wife, Unborn Child

A Dakota County jury convicted a 37-year-old Apple Valley man Tuesday morning of murdering his wife and their unborn child after 10 hours of deliberation. The court found Roger Holland guilty of two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the March 7 incident.

Sergeant Cory Slifko was arrested back in June. He was off-duty and driving his personal vehicle at the time. Rosemount Police caught him after getting a 911 call that someone was driving around damaging mailboxes.

A 32-year-old man is accused of stealing metal pipes from at least six Twin Cities businesses that were valued at more than $1,700, according to charges filed Tuesday in Dakota County Court. Mikael Jerald Carlson was charged with one count of aggregating theft in connection with the incidents, which happened in late June and early July.

A 33-year-old St. Paul Park man is accused of trying to set his ex-girlfriend’s home on fire after she apparently stole items out of his vehicle, according to charges filed Thursday in Dakota County Court. Paul David Garay was charged with two felony counts of first-degree burglary and one felony count of first-degree criminal damage to property in connection with the incident.

Burnsville Teen Charged In 2012 Crash That Killed 2

The Dakota County Attorney’s Office said Wednesday it is filing charges against a Burnsville teen in connection with a crash on Aug. 21, 2012, that killed two people and left two others hurt. The boy, a 17-year-old, has been charged in juvenile court with two felony counts of criminal vehicular homicide involving gross negligence, one felony count of criminal vehicular homicide involving gross negligence resulting in substantial bodily harm and one count of criminal vehicular operation in connection with the incident.
