Two people are dead after a single-engine plane crash on Madeline Island, according to officials. Authorities said they received a 911 call regarding the crash around 6:34 p.m. Saturday in the vicinity of the Madeline Island Airport in La Pointe, Wis.

A 63-year-old St. Paul man was hit and killed by a semi Friday afternoon at a gas station in Hixton, Wis., authorities said. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, Glenn Michael Augustine was walking away from his own semi at the Hixton Travel Plaza parking lot, when he was hit and killed around 4:09 p.m. Friday by another semi pulling into the station to fuel up.

Red Wing police are investigating after a man died Wednesday night, presumably falling off a 200-foot rock wall at the top of barns bluff.
