The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office is seeking an extension to keep the person suspected in a suspicious death in Shoreview in prison. Jetaun Helen Wheeler, 29, is currently being held in the Hennepin County jail for probable cause murder in connection with case.

Answers Few In Shorewood Man’s ‘Suspicious Death’

Residents of a quiet Shorewood neighborhood are still in the dark as they seek answers in a man’s mysterious death. That man had been reported missing two weeks ago. On Wednesday afternoon, police discovered the body in a home on the 5700 block of Wood Duck Circle after investigators initiated a search warrant to enter the duplex where the man lived with a woman and her three kids.

Health Officials Report First West Nile Death Of 2013

Officials with the Minnesota Department of Health said the first death from West Nile virus in the state for 2013 was reported Monday. Health department officials said so far this year, there have been 16 cases of the mosquito-based virus reported in Minnesota.

Police: Human Remains In Colorado Are Missing Minnesotan’s

The human remains found in Colorado are those of Leann Annie Meyer, the Minnesotan who had been missing since Feb. 7, 2013, authorities said. The Park County Sheriff’s Office discovered the remains around 7 p.m. next to a cabin and through forensic analysis of evidence, the body was identified as Meyer’s.

WI Patrol: 17-Year-Old Girl Ejected From Rollover Crash, Dies

A 17-year-old Wisconsin girl died Thursday morning after she was ejected from her car as it rolled over near Bloomer, Wis., authorities say. According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Shayla Story, of Bloomer, was traveling southbound on STH 40 around a curve when she rolled over at about 10:41 a.m.
