A stretch of Interstate 35E in the northeast Twin Cities metro will be closed this weekend while workers replace underground pipes. The Minnesota Department of Transportation says I-35E will be closed between I-694 in Vadnais Heights and Highway 96 in White Bear Lake from 9 p.m. Friday till 5 a.m. Monday.
Some major roads across the metro are experiencing closures and detours this weekend. Southbound Interstate 35W will be closed from Highway 280 in Roseville, Minnesota to 4th Street SE in Minneapolis.
Drivers will encounter a ramp closure and detour on northbound Interstate 694 in Pine Springs as the ramp to eastbound Highway 36 closes after this weekend.
