Man Killed Neighbor’s Pit Bull After It Attacked His Dog

It wasn’t the first time Chuck Hale’s golden retriever was the target of a neighbor’s pit bull. After a 2012 incident, the Hales’ spent thousands of dollars fencing in their back yard.

The 101st running of the Tour de France began Saturday, July 5th and will run through Sunday, July 27th. In total, the finishing teams/riders will have traveled 2,276.7 miles (3,664 kilometers) on their way to a chance at victory.

Dog Disrupts Traffic On I-94 Near Downtown St. Paul

It was an interesting afternoon for drivers on Interstate 94 near downtown St. Paul, Minn. Saturday. A large white dog was walking down the shoulder of the interstate. Traffic was stopped several times as drivers tried to avoid it.

Man Sentenced To 90 Days For Trying To Behead Dog

A Twin Cities man was sentenced to 90 days in jail for trying to cut a dog’s head off with a machete last year. In December, 38-year-old George Nichols pleaded guilty to charges that alleged he attacked an 11-pound miniature pinscher, which he co-owned with his ex-fiancee.

Minn. Man Fatally Struck At S. Indiana Truck Stop

Authorities have identified a Minnesota man as the person struck and killed by a vehicle in the dark parking lot of a southern Indiana truck stop. The Clark County Coroner’s Office said Friday that 58-year-old Billy Ray Evans of Hill City, Minn., died at the scene when he was hit by a large truck. Evans was found on the ground Thursday night at a truck stop just off Interstate 65 near the town of Memphis, about 15 miles north of Louisville, Ky.

La Crosse Woman Accused Of Strangling Boyfriend’s Dog

A La Crosse woman could face animal cruelty charges after her boyfriend’s dog was found dead. Police say the 32-year-old woman broke into the man’s apartment early Thursday and strangled the basset hound, Jixer, with a choke collar.

Puppies Among The 200 Rescued Animals Looking For A Home

About 200 animals that were rescued from a breeding facility in northern Minnesota will go up for adoption in the Twin Cities on Saturday. “We’re gonna have a mad rush at our shelters tomorrow,” said Kathie Johnson with the Animal Humane Society.
