The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office has identified the man killed Tuesday night in a drive-by shooting in Minneapolis. Eric Darvell Ferguson, 22, died at North Memorial Medical Center Tuesday evening after being shot several times in front yard of a home on the 3900 block of Fremont Avenue North.
Minneapolis police are investigating a deadly drive-by shooting that happened Tuesday night. A man was shot outside a home in the 3900 block of Fremont Avenue North just before 6:30 p.m. He later died at the hospital.
It happened overnight at 28th Street and Portland Avenue South. Police say a vehicle drove up to a minivan and shot at it five times.
A St. Paul man was sentenced Thursday to 19 years in prison for trying to kill a romantic rival in a drive-by-shooting last summer. According to the Hennepin County Attorney’s office, Michael Rolack Jr., TyLynne Wilson and Loretha Peoples were charged in connection with a shootout that happened just before 2:30 a.m. on 2nd Avenue near 5th Street.
A St. Paul man is charged with murder and two attempted murders after a gang-related drive-by shooting in front of a bar on St. Paul’s east side. According to the criminal complaint, 31-year-old True Thao allegedly fired a semi-automatic handgun in to a crowd of people standing in front of the Moonshine Bar at 1179 E. Seventh St. on the evening of Oct. 26. Witnesses say Thao, who was driving a dark blue Acura TL, pulled up about 15 to 20 feet away from the bar, rolled down his window and took aim at the group with what appeared to be a Tec-9 with an extended clip. Adlai Xiong, 27, was killed after suffering three gunshot wounds, one of which struck him in the head. Two others, a man and a woman, each suffered three gunshot wounds. Both survived.
An early Saturday morning drive-by shooting in St. Paul left one dead and 2 people injured, police said. The shooting took place at 1 a.m. at the Moonshine Saloon along East Seventh Street.
