The 56-year-old man who drowned Sunday afternoon after he went swimming in Sauk River near St. Cloud has been identified. According to the Stearn’s County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Cloud Police Department received a call about a man in the Sauk River around 12:47 p.m. Sunday. The caller stated the man had been pulled out of the water onto the shore, but was unresponsive and blue.
Friends and family are mourning the death of a 15-year-old boy who drowned in Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. Approximately 100 people attended a vigil for Sha-kym Adams on Thursday near the lake. Hennepin County authorities say he was swimming with six other teens Wednesday morning after football practice on the lake’s east side.
The Grand Rapids Police Department has identified the 5-year-old boy who drowned after going under the water in Crystal Lake Saturday.
A man who drowned in Carlton County Monday has been identified.
A second missing boater has been found in Cass Lake in northern Minnesota Thursday morning.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 50-year-old Charles Chamblis. The medical examiner ruled his death as an accidental drowning.
