Body Of Missing Fisherman Found In Winona

Search crews have found the body of a missing 88-year-old Stockton man who fell out of a canoe while fishing Friday morning. Winona County Sheriff Dave Brand says crews were dragging the river near Winona, when one of the drags caught the body of Robert Lester Duncanson on Saturday afternoon.

Search For Missing Man In St. Croix River Resumes Tuesday

An 11-year-old boy who was rescued from the rushing St. Croix River over the weekend is very thankful to be alive as crews continue to search for his uncle. The boy’s uncle jumped in to try to save him but is still missing after the two were fishing on the river on Sunday in Taylors Falls.

Authorities Pull Teen’s Body From Mississippi River In St. Paul Park

Authorities said they’ve recovered the body of a 14-year-old boy from the Mississippi River in St. Paul Park after a drowning Sunday night. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was called at about 5:13 p.m. to Lions Levee Park along the Mississippi River on a report of a drowning.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is urging boaters to create a safety plan before hitting the waters this Memorial Day weekend. With a High Water Declaration in effect for Lake Minnetonka, Sheriff Rich Stanek says boaters need to manage their wakes properly, as well as have the necessary safety gear in place.

Teen’s Body Pulled From Carver County Lake

Rescue crews recovered the body of a teenager from a Carver County lake late Friday evening. The sheriff’s office received a report at about 7:30 p.m. that a teen swimming in Eagle Lake near Baylor Regional Park went underwater and never resurfaced.

Sheriff: Woman Found In Pine Lake Was Intoxicated

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office has determined that a woman found dead in Pine Lake early Sunday morning had a blood-alcohol level that was more than two-and-a-half times the legal limit. Police responded to a report of a one-car crash in Hammond Township near Pine Lake just after 5 a.m., but found the car unoccupied at the scene.

Middle School Student Hospitalized After ‘Pool Incident’

A seventh-grade student was taken to the hospital after what school officials are calling a “serious pool-related incident” on Thursday. The incident happened at St. Louis Park Junior High. Principal Les Bork sent a letter to parents and guardians informing them that the incident happened during a third-hour gym class.

Authorities ID Woman Pulled From Mississippi In Wabasha

The body of a 49-year-old woman was recovered from the Mississippi River in Wabasha, Minn. On Thursday morning, officers were summoned to the river just south of the Eagle Center on Lawrence Boulevard after being alerted that someone may have gone off the ice and into the river.

A police dive unit resumed its search for a missing woman who fell into the Chicago River. Authorities say 21-year-old Lauren Li and another man fell while trying to help their friend, who’d also fallen into the river early Monday while retrieving a cellphone from the ice.

A Minnesota man died after falling into the Chicago River early Monday when he dropped his cell phone in the water and lunged after it, according to reports from our sister station in Chicago. Another man was hospitalized and a woman was missing and presumed dead after they went into the water to try to rescue him.

Woman Found In Submerged Car Identified

Authorities in La Crosse, Wis., said the body of a 21-year-old Winona State University student was found Wednesday after her car went through the ice in a creek. Police and fire departments in La Crosse were called to an accident at about 1:27 a.m. Wednesday, New Year’s Day, after a report of a vehicle in the water in Swift Creek.
