Friends, Family Mourn Wis. Man, 28, Hit By Drunk Driver

Family and friends are mourning the death of a man killed while walking along a rural Wisconsin highway. It happened on County Highway C in the town of Star Prairie. Jeffrey Boardman, 28, was walking home with a friend from J.J.’s Bar in Hammond.

Woman, 22, Arrested After Fatal Crash In St. Croix Co.

A Hammond, Wis. woman was arrested after fatally striking a pedestrian early Thursday morning. Alyssa Kochsiek, 22, was arrested for homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.

Bayport Man Seriously Injured In Crash While Fleeing Police

A Bayport man suffered life-threatening injuries Friday morning after crashing into a car and then a concrete wall while being pursued by police in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says 48-year-old John Walter Halfmann did not stop when North Hudson police officers attempted to pull him over on northbound WIS 35 on suspicion of drunk driving just before 11 a.m.

Co. Attorney: Woman Drove Drunk With 3 Kids, Crashed Into Pole

An Eden Prairie woman faces criminal charges after she was accused of hitting a light pole while driving drunk with three young children in tow. The Dakota County Attorney’s office says 28-year-old Sissy Marie Garcia was charged Wednesday with two counts of second-degree driving while impaired and one count of child endangerment.

Bloomington Man Charged In Crash That Killed Richfield Woman

A 25-year-old Bloomington man accused of drunken driving has been charged with causing a fatal crash in Burnsville. Neftali Ramirez was charged Tuesday with vehicular homicide in the crash that killed 34-year-old Erin Randall of Richfield.

Fargo Man Pleads Not Guilty To Driving Zamboni While Drunk

A Fargo man accused of being drunk while operating a Zamboni ice-grooming machine during a high school hockey game has pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence. Steven Anderson allegedly was drunk on Jan. 30 when he was smoothing the ice for a girls’ game between Davies High School and Williston High.

Family Remembers Teen Son Killed By Suspected Drunk Driver

A suspected drunken driver is accused of killing a teenager who had a bright and promising future. Police say a truck driven by 34-year-old Charles Hendricks crashed into a car Monday night in rural Sandstone. Hendricks is in fair condition at North Memorial Hospital.

Drunk driving arrests are on the decline Minnesota. The state patrol says they’ve arrested 21 percent fewer people this year for driving while intoxicated, than this time last year. Minnesota’s extra DWI enforcement campaign started in November and continues through the holidays.

A 21-year-old Coon Rapids man faces criminal charges after admitting to driving drunk in a crash which took the life of his friend last November. Kyle Norman Wold was charged Friday with one count of criminal vehicular homicide and two counts of criminal vehicular operation related to a crash on the early morning of Nov. 22.
