A new record for the world’s largest simultaneous swimming lesson could have been beaten on Thursday morning.
The hot weather forecasted for Tuesday will have lots of people looking for some relief. It should be a popular day for lakes, pools and water parks around the Twin Cities. Lake Josephine in Roseville is likely to be a popular spot in Roseville Tuesday as much of the Twin Cities is under a heat advisory from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
A ride down the waterslide at the Edina Aquatic Center is a perfect way to beat the heat. But this summer, the slides have seen less traffic. Jen Cirone of Minneapolis has noticed a difference. “It’s been a little bit slower, and usually I come at the very beginning of the season and I didn’t this year,” Cirone said.
