Authorities say a man hurt in an officer-involved shooting in Edina on Saturday has been upgraded to serious but stable condition at a Twin Cities hospital.
Less than two weeks after retiring, a K-9 dog with the Edina Police Department died of cancer. Edina Police officials said “Diesel” was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and died on Saturday.
Edina Police say someone who’s trying to make some quick cash is pretending to be from their department.
One person is dead after a car hit a guard rail twice and then eventually struck the side of a bridge in Edina Wednesday night, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities responded to the crash at about 5:38 p.m. Wednesday on southbound Highway 100 at 77th Street.
Edina Police have extra patrols out following a string of burglaries that occurred last week. Police said three burglaries have taken place since Tuesday, May 27. Two happened during the day on Tuesday, and the third happened early Wednesday morning.

The Edina Police Department reminded residents Tuesday to take preventative measures against burglary after three homes were burglarized in the area last week.
