ACT Testing To Be Given To All Minn. High School Juniors

A big change is coming to the way Minnesota’s high school seniors are measured for their proficiency in learning. That’s because the 2013 state legislature decided to scrap the longtime requirement for GRAD testing to measure competency in key areas as a condition of graduation.

Mpls. English Teacher Named MN Teacher Of The Year 2014

Thomas Rademacher, the 32-year-old English teacher from the FAIR school, was named the 2014 Minnesota Teacher of the Year on Sunday.

Rademacher teaches English at the FAIR school in downtown Minneapolis. He is the first winner from the West Metro Education Program district, a voluntary partnership of 11 school districts.

English Teacher Named Minnesota’s Teacher Of The Year

An English teacher who teaches classes in Minneapolis and Crystal has been named Minnesota’s teacher of the year for 2014. Thomas Rademacher has taught at the Fine Arts Interdisciplinary Resource School since 2006. The K-12 school has campuses in downtown Minneapolis and in Crystal.

Investigation Pending Into Death Of Park Health & Rehab Patient

Authorities said they’re looking for an outside agency to launch an investigation into the death last month of a Park Health and Rehab patient. The city of St. Louis Park said police responded to a report of a Park Health and Rehab patient behaving erratically while in possession of a knife and scissors on July 14.
