One person was killed early Sunday morning in a Fairmont, Minn. house fire. According to the Fairmont Police Department, at 3:47 a.m. officials responded to a call of a residential house fire in the 300 block of N. Elm Street.
Herbie Haertel of Fairmont, Minn. celebrated his 100th birthday on Saturday. “I was born July 26, 1914,” Haertel said. He served our country during World War II, and recently received a special letter from President Obama.
