The Minnesota State Patrol is on the scene of a fatal crash west of the Twin Cities Tuesday morning. Authorities were called to the area of Highway 7 and Highway 22, which is just east of Hutchinson, at about 5:33 a .m. on a report of a head-on crash involving two vehicles.

The Carver County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a vehicle careened into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle, killing its driver Thursday afternoon. The sheriff’s office says a vehicle was heading eastbound on Flying Cloud Drive in Chanhassen when it hit a guard rail, which caused it to careen into oncoming traffic and strike the other vehicle head-on.
A 33-year-old Edina man was killed Sunday when his car went off the road on Interstate 94 in Maple Grove and hit a building, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities responded to the crash at about 3:58 p.m. Sunday on eastbound I-94 at Maple Grove Parkway.
Highway 55 in Eagan, Minn. had to be closed for several hours Friday morning after a head-on collision killed one person and injured another, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Deputies responded to the crash just before 6 a.m. in the area of Highway 55 and Northland Drive in Eagan. Authorities said the westbound side of Highway 55 was closed at Lexington Avenue while officers investigated and assisted at the scene.

Authorities said Monday that criminal charges won’t be filed in a Jan. 5 crash in Winona that killed four people, including the driver. The Winona County Sheriff’s Office said the driver, Christina Hauser, had a blood alcohol level of .168 at the time of the crash and was speeding. The sheriff’s office said that because Hauser died, she couldn’t face criminal charges in the case.
One of the two men killed in Friday’s head-on crash near Orono has been identified. According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office, 50-year-old Steve Francis Crowley of Delano was driving one of the vehicles involved in the fatal accident, which occurred just before 7 a.m. on Highway 12 near County Road 6. The name of the other victim has not yet been released.
A 29-year-old woman will face criminal charges for a fatal crash in Apple Valley last April which killed a 66-year-old man. A 61-year-old woman from western Wisconsin was killed Friday after getting into a crash with a semi-truck, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities responded to the crash at about 10:19 a.m. Friday on State Highway 87 near 250th Avenue in Sterling Township.
