Son, On Killing Dad: ‘Relieved Not To Have To Deal With Him Anymore’

The 18-year-old man accused of fatally shooting his father in their rural Montgomery home told police he was “somewhat relieved he would not have to deal with him anymore.” Police said 48-year-old Richard Joseph Nelson was shot at about 10:30 p.m. on Monday at his home on the 10600 block of Le Sueur Avenue.

Minneapolis Police are looking for suspects in shooting at a Lake Street restaurant that left one man dead and three others wounded. Officers were called to La Que Buena, on the 1600 block of East Lake Street, just after 1:30 a.m. Monday. One man was dead at the restaurant.

Authorities ID Epic Nightclub Shooting Victim

Authorities said a 27-year-old Minneapolis man was shot to death inside a downtown nightclub early Sunday morning. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office released the victim’s name Tuesday morning. He was identified as Tyrone Washington Jr. of Brooklyn Park.
