Regulators have closed a small lender in Minnesota, making it the second U.S. bank failure of 2013 following 51 closures last year.
A 21-year-old Brooklyn Park man was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in connection with the Oct. 26, 2011, armed robbery of the First Minnesota Bank in Champlin, Minn.
Laurence DeAngelo Williamson, 20, and Boyd Jerome Morson II, 20, both of Brooklyn Park, have each been charged with one count of armed bank robbery in connection with the incident.
A 21-year-old Brooklyn Park man is accused of being one of two men to rob a Champlin bank at gunpoint on Wednesday, according to charges filed Friday in Hennepin County Court.
Authorities have arrested three people in connection with an armed robbery Wednesday morning at a Champlin bank.
