The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash involving a semi that left a plume of smoke over Highway 55 on Friday morning in Golden Valley. The state patrol said the incident took place at Highway 55 and Boone. One is dead, and the status of the other driver is unknown. The semi truck had reportedly burst into flames.
A garage in northeast Minneapolis started on fire this morning. Flames gutted the structure in the 3200 block of Stinson Avenue. Fire officials said it started around 1 a.m., but then it flared up again around 4 a.m.
