Fleeing A Peace Officer
A 34-year-old St. Paul man has been charged with allegedly fleeing police after a traffic stop and crashing into another car, killing one of the occupants and seriously hurting another, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.
A South St. Paul Police sergeant was charged Friday with two counts of fourth-degree driving while impaired, one count of criminal damage to property and one count of fleeing a peace officer after a run in with Rosemount Police earlier this week. According to the Dakota County Attorney’s office, 26-year-old Cory Michael Slifko fled from a Rosemount Police officer who was attempting to pull him over around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
A 22-year-old Hastings man is accused of assaulting a police officer who was responding to a call of a violation of an order for protection, according to charges filed Monday in Dakota County Court.
