Kevin Martin has returned to the lineup for the Minnesota Timberwolves after missing the previous 34 games with a fractured right wrist. Martin was activated on Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics. The Timberwolves initially ruled him out on Tuesday, but Martin felt good enough after a workout on Wednesday morning to play.
Paul Millsap scored 20 points and Al Horford added 19 to lead Eastern Conference-leading Atlanta to a 112-100 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night, extending the Hawks’ franchise record with their 16th straight win.
As the losses have mounted for the Minnesota Timberwolves, injured point guard Ricky Rubio has never been missed more. It has been almost 11 weeks since he went down with a severely sprained left ankle, and the length of his recovery has drawn impatience from a fan base desperate to see Rubio throw lob passes to Andrew Wiggins.
