It’s been more than a year since the Ford Plant shut down in St. Paul. Now, the city is talking about its plans for redevelopment. The 125-acre site along the Mississippi River was used by Ford Motor Company for nearly 100 years. Demolition leveled 2 million square feet of buildings to the ground.

The Ford Motor Company is leaving St. Paul after 86 years in business. The plant will lock its doors on Dec. 19 and will affect 769 workers.
Ford Motor Co. will donate money to designated local schools when people buy its cars or watch online videos this fall.
