4 Suspects Named In Grand Forks Stabbing, Burglary

Four people are awaiting extradition from Minnesota to North Dakota on charges connected with a burglary and fatal stabbing west of Grand Forks. Grand Forks County Sheriff Robert Rost says 33-year-old Ruben Cisneros, of Grand Forks, was found early Sunday stabbed to death at a farm house.

UND Football Coach Mussman Fired

The University of North Dakota has fired head football coach Chris Mussman after a 3-8 season, including a 2-6 mark in the Big Sky Conference. UND athletic director Brian Faison says the two met Monday and Mussman was relieved of his duties immediately. Mussman coached six seasons with UND and had an overall 31-34 record. He joined the coaching staff as the offensive line coach in 1999, became offensive coordinator in 2001 and took over as the head coach prior to the 2008 season.

Pine Co. Teen Charged In Burglary That Left Accomplice Dead

A Pine County teenager is now charged in a home invasion that left a man dead. It happened after the intruders entered the house of a 75-year-old man around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Officials said 23-year-old Gypsy Watts had a gun, and the homeowner shot and killed him. Investigators tell us Watts and a 16-year-old boy broke into the man’s house, hoping to steal his prescription medications.

The board of directors for the new National Collegiate Hockey Conference has unanimously approved the use of shootouts to break ties in conference games. The NHL-style shootouts involving three players from each team will be used if a game is still tied after the standard five-minute, sudden-death overtime period.
