In the wake of the gravel slide incident that rocked Peter Hobart Elementary School, many Minnesotans are looking for a way to help the students and their families, including parents of classmates. One of those parents also happens to own a cheesecake shop, with plenty of room for donations.
St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman says an area of a park where two children were killed in a gravel slide is now indefinitely closed. Coleman also says no permits will be issued for fossil hunting in Lilydale Regional Park. The mayor calls it “a tragic day for St. Paul.”
One child is dead, two others are injured and another is missing after a hillside gave way Wednesday during a fourth grade field trip at a St. Paul park, according to Fire Marshal Steve Zaccard. In a press conference, authorities said that multiple crews continue to search the area for the missing child.
