No Wake Restrictions To Be Lifted On Lake Minnetonka

It’s a calm morning at Gray’s Bay on Lake Minnetonka Thursday, but that will change when no-wake restrictions are lifted. Keyon Cooley, who fishes on the lake, drags his fishing boat to a public access point at Grey’s Bay at least twice a week.

Water Level, Debris Make Minnehaha Creek Unsafe For Paddlers

You may have to change your Memorial Day weekend plans if they include canoeing or kayaking down Minnehaha Creek. The recent rain caused high levels on Lake Minnetonka. As a result, water is being released into the creek to lower it. The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District warns the release is causing unsafe conditions.

2 Dead After Car Goes Through Ice On Lake Minnetonka

The two people who were hospitalized after their car fell through the ice Saturday in a channel between Gray’s Bay and Wayzata Bay on Lake Minnetonka have died, according to authorities.

Free Life Jackets Available For Lake Minnetonka Boaters

Three locations on Lake Minnetonka will provide free life jackets for the rest of the summer. Boaters can borrow life jackets through the Kid’s Don’t Float Program, courtesy of the Safe Kids Northwest Metro Coalition, North Memorial Medical Center, and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.
