Goin’ To The (Frozen) Lake: Frank & Chris Visit Hackensack (Day 2)

Frank Vascellaro and Chris Shaffer are braving the frigid weather and getting out to Minnesota’s lovely, ice-covered lakes every Thursday and Friday until the middle of February. The second stop on this year’s winter lake trip brought the fellas to Hackensack, Minn., a town in Cass County with a population of just over 300. Hackensack is a town with lots to do, and like many of the small towns the guys have been to, you can also find plenty of great places to eat. One of them is Lucette’s Pizza.

Beltrami Police: Suspect Arrested In Connection With Stabbing

A 21-year-old man from Walker, Minn., was arrested in connection with a Beltrami County stabbing on Sept. 29. According to the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, Jacob Andrew Young was arrested in Hackensack as the suspect in the stabbing of 18-year-old Jace Jeffrey Ugrich, of Bovey.

In Minn., Artists Rev Up Chain Saws For 3-Day Show

Artists who use chain saws as their main tools are gathering in northern Minnesota for the next three days. Ten artists are expected to show their stuff beginning Friday at the National Chainsaw Carving Event in Hackensack, a town of about 300 people near Brainerd.
