Injury Report: Robinson Leaves Minnesota Vikings Practice, Sullivan Returns

The Minnesota Vikings were down a cornerback by the conclusion of practice on Thursday. Josh Robinson suffered an ankle injury and missed the remainder of practice. The team also learned that John Sullivan passed his concussion tests and practiced in a limited capacity. The team listed two players as non-participants, five as limited participants and four as full participants in Thursday’s practice. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have eight players listed on their injury report.

The Minnesota Vikings expect to have quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and safety Harrison Smith in the lineup Sunday when they face Detroit Lions at TCF Bank Stadium. However, whether or not linebacker Chad Greenway returns after missing two games is unknown. Smith’s Ankle Injury Adds To Vikings’ List

Minnesota Vikings free safety Harrison Smith has an injured left ankle that had him with a walking boot and crutches Friday. Smith played through the injury Thursday at Green Bay, but he had the ankle taped several times throughout the night. Coach Mike Zimmer said Friday that Smith had an MRI test that showed no major damage but that it was too soon to determine his availability for the next game. The Vikings host Detroit Oct. 12.

The Minnesota Vikings posted a dominant performance in their season opening 34-6 victory over the St. Louis Rams Sunday the Edward Jones Dome. Patterson Propels Minnesota Vikings To Victory In Metrodome Finale

The Minnesota Vikings closed the history of Mall of America Field with a victory Sunday by beating the Detroit Lions 14-13. Cordarrelle Patterson scored two touchdowns, one rushing and the other receiving for the only two Vikings scores. Vikings S Harrison Smith Returns After Missing Eight Games

Harrison Smith missed eight games, but looked good in his return against the Philadelphia Eagles. The expectation was for him to be eased back into game shape. However, he played more snaps that any other Vikings safety. Chris Cook missed Sunday’s game against the Eagles with a knee injury.
