A 42-year-old man was sentenced to two years of supervised probation and 45 days of electronic home monitoring after his 2-year-old son was discovered in the middle of the street holding alcoholic drinks, according to police.

University of Minnesota researchers have confirmed a new invasive fruit fly in Minnesota. A single adult female known as the African fig fly was discovered in a bait trap in September. TCF Bank announced Wednesday that they will close eight branches locating inside Cub Foods stores by the end of March.
