A St. Paul man died Sunday after sustaining a head injury in Brooklyn Center, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s office. Sinthanouxay Khottavongsa, 57, sustained the injury on the night of Jan. 16 near a Pizza Hut in Brooklyn Center.
The 49-year-old woman hospitalized over the weekend following a north Minneapolis house fire is now in good condition.
A 2-year-old girl was seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a crash on Interstate 694 near Brooklyn Center. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened just after 4 p.m., when a Toyota Corolla lost control while merging onto eastbound I-694 from northbound I-94.
A Minneapolis police officer is recovering after being involved in a crash early Friday morning. According to Minneapolis police, the accident occurred just before 2 a.m. on 28th Street and Blaisdell Avenue South.

Minnesota is experiencing the worst flu outbreak in four years. Hundreds of schools across the state have been affected and now doctors and nurses are getting sick, too.
